Sarah Gray (SG / @essgeezy) is a photographer, director, and creative director who launched her career in photo, film and media after pivoting from the financial industry. 

 

With Chicago roots, Sarah has split time between both New York and Los Angeles, drawing inspiration from moments of human vulnerability and intimacy, many facet’s of the African Diaspora, and metropolitan landscapes. 

 

Initially captivated by Missy Elliot's "Get Your Freak On" music video at an early age, Sarah's work primarily focuses on combining interrelated arts of photo stills, music, motion visuals, and fashion with personal histories and identity; while experimenting with natural environments and editorial storytelling. 

 

A sense stimulator and aesthetic curator, she's assisted with projects including Tom Ford’s Metallique, Soleil & Neroli photo series and editorial films, Paris Hilton x Gaytime Magazine photoshoot, Lizzo's "Juice" music video, Nicki Minaj’s “The Nicki Wrld Tour” visuals and JaQuel Knight's Project Blindfold PSA.

 

Sarah continues to work with brands, personalities, and creative think tanks to help develop dynamic content across visual mediums on generational defining creative. Her goal is to continue capturing, creating, and sharing moments that will make people feel - evoking the emotion of connectivity, humanity and regality in culture. 

 

As a student of life, Sarah is self-taught in the Photo and Film space, continuously seeking opportunities to expand her artistry.
